anxiety therapy in los gatos

Feel less controlled by fear and improve your functioning in daily life.

Anxiety

Anxiety can affect both the mind and body in ways that feel overwhelming. It may look like fears of judgment, cycles of negative self-talk, constant rumination, or being weighed down by endless worries. For many, anxiety also shows up physically—with a racing heart, shallow breathing, shakiness, or a body that feels restless and on edge. Whether you’re experiencing these symptoms yourself, or you’re a parent watching your child struggle, anxiety can make daily life feel like a battle.

I want you to know that you’re not alone in this experience. Anxiety is one of the most common mental health concerns—affecting nearly 1 in 5 adults each year and 1 in 3 children/teens before the age of 18 (NIH). In therapy, we’ll create a safe, supportive space to slow things down, explore what fuels your anxiety, and begin learning ways to respond with compassion instead of fear or judgment. My goal is always to meet you exactly where you are—with warmth, patience, and understanding.

Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, EMDR, and IFS—as well as creative play and art interventions with children and teens—we’ll work together to build practical tools to calm the body, quiet the inner critic, and nurture a more balanced, confident sense of self. Healing from anxiety is possible, and therapy can offer both immediate relief and lasting change. Together, we’ll move toward a place where life feels lighter, steadier, and filled with hope.

Anxiety and Trauma Therapist

With years of experience working in multiple mental health settings—and my own journey through anxiety and trauma—I bring both expertise and personal understanding. This allows me to meet clients with deep empathy and create a compassionate space where clients feel supported.

I believe therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique needs. My work integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support deeper healing and growth. With children and teens, I often incorporate play and art interventions to create a safe and engaging way to express emotions and build skills. By blending these approaches, I aim to provide compassionate, effective care that helps clients of all ages move toward resilience, self-understanding, and lasting change.
