Anxiety and Trauma therapy for children, teens, adults, and families
meet jacqueline morita, lmft
Hi, I’m Jacqueline.
With years of experience working in multiple mental health settings—and my own journey through anxiety and trauma—I bring both expertise and personal understanding. This allows me to meet clients with deep empathy and create a compassionate space where clients feel supported.
I believe therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique needs. My work integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support deeper healing and growth. With children and teens, I often incorporate play and art interventions to create a safe and engaging way to express emotions and build skills. By blending these approaches, I aim to provide compassionate, effective care that helps clients of all ages move toward resilience, self-understanding, and lasting change.
-
CBT
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, understand how those thoughts impact emotions and behaviors, and develop practical tools for creating healthier, more balanced ways of coping.
-
EMDR
I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process painful or traumatic memories in a safe way, allowing the brain and body to heal and reducing the distress these memories once held.
-
IFS
I use interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients explore the different “parts” of themselves with compassion—whether it’s a critical voice, a protective part, or a hurt younger self—so they can find healing, balance, and a stronger connection to their true self.
-
Art and Play Interventions
With children and teens, I use play and art as therapeutic tools to help them express feelings, process experiences, and build coping skills in age-appropriate, creative ways. These approaches make therapy engaging while supporting emotional growth, confidence, and healing.

Outside of the therapy office, I enjoy time with my husband and dog-Georgie (the cutest Cocker Spaniel), unwinding with coloring books, and watching reality TV (yes—even The Bachelor!). I also love taking walks to the park and sharing good food and laughter with loved ones.

Are you ready to begin your therapy journey?
I believe that finding the right-fit therapist is the most important factor in building success and trust in therapy, that is why I offer a free 15 minute consultation where we can begin to get to know each other. In that time we will discuss the concerns you are hoping to address in therapy. I will be able to provide an explanation of my approach to your unique situation. This will help you get a clear sense of what working together could look like and if I am the right fit for you.
