Frequently Asked Questions

  • There’s no one answer—every journey looks different. Some people come for a short season of support, while others find it meaningful to stay longer as they work through deeper challenges. If finances are a concern, we can set smaller, realistic goals together. My hope is that Everlight Therapy Co. can be a steady light of hope and a safe home base you can always return to, no matter where life takes you.

  • I offer in-person sessions in Los Gatos, CA and secure Telehealth/Virtual sessions for anyone in California.

  • I do not bill insurance directly and am considered an out-of-network provider. Many clients use their out-of-network benefits and receive partial reimbursement. I’m happy to provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company. Please scroll down for more details.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice so I can offer the time to another client. Cancellations with less notice, or missed sessions, are charged the full fee. Thank you for your understanding as we keep this space consistent and fair for all clients.

  • I usually recommend starting weekly, so you or your child have a steady rhythm of support as we begin our work together. As concerns start to stabilize, we can shift to every other week and eventually to monthly check-ins. You’ll always have the option to increase support when life feels overwhelming or return to therapy whenever you need a safe place to land.

  • I work with clients across the lifespan, from children as young as 6 years old through adulthood.

  • Sessions are 45–50 minutes, with time around the 45-minute mark to begin wrapping up and setting intentions for the week ahead so each session feels complete.

Out-of-network provider:

At Everlight Therapy Co., I am considered an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. I understand that navigating insurance and the financial side of therapy can sometimes feel overwhelming. You don’t have to figure it out alone—I’m here to help guide you through the process.

If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance may cover a portion of your session cost (for some up to 50-80%). I can provide you with a Superbill (a detailed statement) to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Since insurance can sometimes feel complicated, I recommend reaching out to your carrier to learn about your coverage.

My hope is to make accessing care feel as smooth and stress-free as possible. Please feel free to ask me any questions—I’m happy to walk you through what this could look like for you.

forms of payment

I accept cash, debit, credit, HSA or FSA cards. If finances are a concern, I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots—please feel free to ask me if one is currently available.

How It Works

1. Schedule a Free Consultation

Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, whether you’re reaching out for yourself or for your child. This short call gives us a chance to connect, answer your questions, and gently explore what has been weighing on you or your family.

2. Share your needs

During our conversation, you’ll be invited to share what’s been happening—at your own pace. For adults, that may mean opening up about stress, anxiety, or relationship struggles. For parents, it may mean expressing your hopes and concerns for your child’s well-being. I’ll also share how I would approach supporting you or your child, so you can feel reassured about the next steps.

3. Book your first session

If it feels like the right fit, we’ll schedule your first appointment together—whether in person at my office in Los Gatos or virtually from the comfort of your home. From that moment, you’ll know you have a safe and supportive space set aside for you or your child to begin the journey of healing and growth.

Are you ready to begin your therapy journey?

I believe that finding the right-fit therapist is the most important factor in building success and trust in therapy, that is why I offer a free 15 minute consultation where we can begin to get to know each other. In that time we will discuss the concerns you are hoping to address in therapy. I will be able to provide an explanation of my approach to your unique situation. This will help you get a clear sense of what working together could look like and if I am the right fit for you.
